Transformers

I gotta say, wow! Delightfully brilliant movie, but the special effects does not cover a faulty storyline. All the transforming and the robots themselves are awesome, but all the dark scenes in the movie is disturbing. some senes you barley notice what happenes. Optimus Prime is made out to be so noble and righteous, that he is a mix of a mideval knight and a 90's computergeek.

All in all, a good movie, nicely made, one of the best special effects-based movies i have seen until now. The plot was to simple, and kind of boring. I hope Transformers 2 will be better, wich is scheduled for June 2009.
I give this movie a 7/10, based mostly on the robots.

300

a masterpiece! 300 could well be this decades best made movie. to think that this movie was shot entirely in a warehouse, is ludicrous of course, but true! when i saw this movie, i couldn't belive a movie about an historic event could be so damn good!
The true story of what happened with the 300 brave soliders of Sparta is resembled 100% in this movie, although it is excagerated quite a bit.
I give this movie a full score 10/10 , simply because I think it is a movie about the past, which will live on into the future.
Was it worth watching: YES!!!!
Would I pay to watch in a cinema: most definetly, if it was on
Would i buy it on DVD/Blu-Ray: yes! without a doubt.

Quotes from the movie:
Leonidas: ''my queen! my wife! my love''
Soldier Stelios: ''its an honor to die by your side."Leonidas: "Its an honor to have lived by yours.''
Theron (corrupt Spartan politician), and later Queen Gorgo: "This will not be over soon. You will not enjoy this. You are not my/ i am not your queen.''

Facts about 300:
The entire movie was filmed in a warehouse.
Xerxes, the Godking, is played by Rodrigo Santoro, a Brazillian actor. I honestly thought that the role of Xerxes was cast by a black actor.
Ephialtes, the mishaped creature of Spartan descent, is not a entirely computer-made being. He is played by actor Andrew Tiernan.
This is not the first movie about the 300 Spartainians. the first movie was made in 1962, and directed by Rudolph Maté

max payne

I decided i would, despite hearing mostly negative feedback of the movie, watch it. I was a bit thrown off by all the negativity, seeing as the game Max Payne was very popular. But, as it turned out, I was pleasently surprised. the movie proved to be much better than excpected. The plot was simple enough, the clearly stated who was the villain and what his plan was, but the one think that truly threw me off, was when the people took the drugs. The hallucinations resorting from the drugs would be better fitted in a Van Helsing movie than Max Payne. this was the one thing that made me give it a 6/10.

Was this movie worth watching? Yes!
Will I pay to watch it in cinemas again? No, it's not worth it.
Will I buy it on DVD/ Blu-Ray? Yeah, most definently.
